SMS Communications Terms

Unified Loan System, a DBA of California Mortgage Solutions, Inc.  ·  Last updated: June 9, 2026.

1. Who Sends These Messages

SMS messages from Unified Loan System are sent by California Mortgage Solutions, Inc. (operating under the trade name “Unified Loan System”), a California-licensed mortgage brokerage. Messages originate from telephone numbers that have been registered and verified with our telecommunications provider, Twilio Inc.

2. Message Categories

Unified Loan System runs three independent SMS programs. Each requires its own affirmative opt-in captured at account signup or in your loan application. You can opt into any combination of them (or none).

  1. Security & authentication messages. 2FA codes, account-security alerts, and security messages. Typical frequency: 5-10 messages per month.
  2. Loan status & operational updates. Loan-status notifications, document requests, and lender communications about your active loan file. Typical frequency: 5-15 messages per month.
  3. Document, closing & e-sign reminders. E-sign requests, closing date reminders, and document-signing notifications. Typical frequency: 2-8 messages per month.

Each program is independent. Texting STOP revokes all three at once, and the SMS toggle in Settings → Notifications pauses all text messages to your number. To change a single category, contact support@verispect.ai.

Broker accounts have analogous optional categories, captured the same way at broker registration: security & authentication (5-10/month), workspace & pipeline activity (10-25/month), and account & document activity (2-8/month).

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. We do not share your phone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

3. How You Opt In

You only receive SMS from Unified Loan System after explicit, affirmative opt-in. Opt-in is captured in one of the following ways:

  • During account signup at /borrower/signup or /broker/register, by checking a consent box that authorizes Unified Loan System to send transactional SMS to the phone number you provide.
  • During the loan application at /borrower/apply, Step 10 (“Disclosures & Consent”), where the same three optional category checkboxes appear — each category you check records its own independent SMS consent.

Phone numbers collected for any other purpose (e.g., contact information for your loan officer) are not enrolled in SMS until you separately opt in.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by category. See Section 2 above for the typical per-category ranges (Security & authentication: 5-10/month; Loan status & operational updates: 5-15/month; Document, closing & e-sign reminders: 2-8/month). Your total monthly volume depends on which categories you have opted into and the activity in your loan file. Authentication codes are sent only when you initiate a login or sensitive action.

5. Opt-Out and Help Keywords

You can opt out at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to any SMS you receive from Unified Loan System:

STOP  ·  STOPALL  ·  UNSUBSCRIBE  ·  CANCEL  ·  END  ·  QUIT

After you send a STOP keyword, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent to that number until you opt back in. To opt back in, reply with START, YES, UNSTOP, and SUBSCRIBE.

Reply HELP at any time for support information, or visit /borrower/help. You can also email support@verispect.ai.

Important: opting out of SMS does not opt you out of email or in-app notifications, and does not affect the underlying loan file. Some authentication flows may require you to use an alternate method (e.g., authenticator app or email code) if SMS is disabled.

6. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Unified Loan System does not charge a fee for SMS, but your wireless carrier may charge for messages received or sent depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan’s messaging rates.

7. Supported Carriers and Delivery

Unified Loan System supports SMS delivery to all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of any individual message is not guaranteed.

8. Privacy

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in status are treated as personal information under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers, opt-in data, or SMS content with third parties for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) strictly for the purpose of sending messages you have opted in to receive.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above. Continued enrollment in SMS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If we materially change the categories of messages we send, you will receive an in-app or email notice and may need to re-confirm your opt-in.
